This article was about Susan B Anthony and her life, and how she become involved in the woman's rights movements. She thought that all women were suffering. In 1861, she took the 13Th amendment to abolish slavery. Also, in 1865 is took the 14Th and 15Th amendments to get the woman's rights and the African American males. The people that were against abolishing slavery just brushed her to the side and continued doing what they were doing, because they thought that, that was not the right to to worry about women's suffrage. Susan and the 15 Rochester comrades became the first women to vote. Since they were that bare to vote knowing that they were not suppose to, they got arrested and Susan took that to the supreme courts as a case. She stated "Is it wrong for an citizen to vote?", but she lose the case and she was set on bail for $1,000. The rest of her life she was working for the Federal suffrage amendment. Still tyring to get woman their rights. Just one month before she died, she attended her last suffrage convention. She made her last speech, stating "Failure is impossible" she knew that woman were going to get their rights some day or another. After her death only in 4 states they women were granted the right to vote. Also, 14 years later after her death, the amendments that stated that woman had rights was posed to the Constitution which is now the 19Th amendment.
